Yesterday, I was looking for a good blog host. My options were blogspot, webloginc and then later, I remembered that there was also a Philippine based blog host that I previously knew from the newpapers, the i.ph.

Of course, when looking for a host for website and bloghost, my criteria are;
1. Its free.
2. the host has an established name in their industry so that it could be more reliable,
3. It doesnt have forced ad,
4. Flexible and easy to customize, and,
5. No strict policies and strict client to host relations.

I signed-up first on blogspot but it’s hard to sign-up at that time because the server always returned an error messages. Then I try webloginc. But while reading the webloginc overview, it seems that they are strict on what topic should be posted in my blog so I think it is not flexible for me.

Then I finally signed-up to i.ph. If what I remember is correct from what I read in the newspaper a days ago, i.ph is a bloghost owned and hosted by domain.ph, one of the official domain name registry in the Philippines. My speculation when I first heard of this blog host was that they will be getting their revenue from advertisements like Google Adsense. And this speculation was verified and turned me to disappointment with this blog host when I signed up and use it.

Aside from being free, actually, i.ph is better when it comes to speed and reliability however, what disappointed me was that it has a forced adsense ad block that automatically blend to each of my post and locate itself to a position where I don’ t want it to appear.

Later, I finally realized that blogspot is, so far, better to any blog host that I know.
