The Biggest Cat in the World
I recently dicovered just from watching the National Geographic Channel that the biggest living cat in the world is niether a tiger nor a lion but a combination of both - a Liger.

Photo borrowed from wikipedia.org
The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger (i.e, Panthera leo × Panthera tigris[1]). A liger resembles a lion with diffused stripes. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liger
Surprisingly, the name of the liger featured in this National Geographic episode (Super Cats: Super Cat) is Simba, a 1000 lb liger and should be the biggest in the world.
