“Abnoy” / “Penoy”

This is an “Abnoy” or “Penoy”, a prematurely incubated duck eggs coated/breaded with orange-colored flour mixture. It’s a larger version of “kwek-kwek” (quail egg). This Pinoy delicacy is usually eaten with vinegar, crushed onions, and a little salt. As of the posting date, one piece of “Abnoy” costs Php9.00 or USD 0.19.
