| About Sorsogon Province Sorsogon is located at the southernmost tip of Luzon and approximately 600 kilometers from Manila. Sorsogon is among the provinces of region V or Bicol Region. It has a total land area of 214,444 hectares or 2,141.44 square kilometers with a stretch of 336 kilometer coastline.
According to the record of NSO, as of year 2000, the total population of Sorsogon is 650,535 or 13.88% of the total population of Bicol Region. Sorsogon City which is the Capital City has the most number of population of 92,512 among its municipalities.
Sorsogon has 14 Municipalities and 1 City which composed to 541 barangays. As of April 28, 2004, Sorsogon has a total of 347,488 registered voters. Sorsogon has 2 Congressional Districts which is represented by Cong. Francis Escudero and Cong. Jose Solis in the house of representatives.
